Gloucester Township man charged in child exploitation investigation following cyber tip

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – A 38-year-old Gloucester Township man has been charged in connection with a child sexual abuse material investigation after a cyber tip led authorities to an online account used to share illegal content, officials announced Monday.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, Jeffrey Mauer Jr. was arrested on Dec. 5 following a joint investigation between county detectives and the Gloucester Township Police Department. Investigators traced a report from a national cyber tip line to an account allegedly linked to Mauer.

Detectives executed search warrants and conducted a forensic examination of Mauer’s cell phone, which revealed additional child sexual abuse material, authorities said. He was charged with second-degree distribution of child sexual abuse material, second-degree possession with intent to distribute, and third-degree possession of such material.

Mauer was taken into custody in Gloucester Township and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending court proceedings.

Investigations conducted by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit, including task force officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department, Camden County Sheriff’s Office, and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) – Cherry Hill, in collaboration with the Camden County Police Department, led to the following defendants being arrested in December 2025:

 ·       Jeffrey Mauer Jr., 38, of Gloucester Township

 ·      Mauricio Nemorio-Reyes, 22, of Camden

Jeffrey Mauer Jr. was charged on December 5, 2025, with 2nd-degree Distribution of CSAM, 2nd-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute CSAM, and 3rd-degree Possession of CSAM. A cyber tip led detectives to an online account used to possess and distribute CSAM.  During the investigation, detectives identified Mauer as the user of the account. Additionally, a forensic search of Mauer’s cell phone revealed CSAM.  He was arrested in Gloucester Township on December 5, 2025, and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.

Mauricio Nemorio-Reyes was charged on December 29, 2025, with 2nd-degree Distribution of CSAM, 2nd-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute CSAM, and 3rd-degree Possession of CSAM. A cyber tip led detectives to an online account used to possess and distribute CSAM.  During the investigation, detectives identified Nemorio-Reyes as the user of the account.  Nemorio-Reyes was arrested in Camden on December 29, 2025, and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
