Six numbers deliver a quarter-million-dollar Double Play hit
TRENTON, NJ – One perfect ticket turned Monday night’s Pick-6 Double Play drawing into a $250,000 score, matching all six numbers while the main New Jersey Lottery jackpot escaped players and climbed to $4 million.
The New Jersey Lottery said the winning Aug. 17 Double Play ticket was purchased through Lotto.com.
Six-number sweep delivers $250K
The winning Double Play numbers were 06, 13, 24, 25, 27 and 43.
One ticket matched all six to capture the $250,000 top prize.
Double Play is an optional Pick-6 feature available for an additional $1. It gives players a second set of numbers drawn immediately following the regular Pick-6 drawing and offers prizes reaching $250,000.
Pick-6 jackpot jumps to $4M
No ticket matched all six numbers in Monday’s regular Pick-6 drawing.
Those winning numbers were 04, 08, 13, 16, 27 and 38.
That pushed the jackpot to $4 million for the next drawing Thursday, Aug. 20.
The $250,000 Double Play prize and the $4 million Pick-6 jackpot are separate.
New Jersey game dates back decades
Pick-6 debuted in New Jersey in 1980 and has undergone several changes over the decades.
The current version launched in April 2022 and includes XTRA as a standard feature along with the optional Double Play drawing.
New Jersey’s record Pick-6 jackpot was $48.9 million, won in Clifton in 2002.
