Gunfire erupts in White Marsh leaving teen boy shot

WHITE MARSH, Md. — Baltimore County Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenage boy injured Monday afternoon in the White Marsh area.

Officers responded around 4 p.m. to the 6300 block of Kenwood Avenue following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, police found a male juvenile with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. As of Monday evening, police said he was in stable condition.

Detectives said preliminary findings suggest the shooting was an isolated incident and confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact detectives by calling 911 or 410-887-3700. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

Investigation remains active as police seek leads

Baltimore County Police have not released the victim’s age or details about possible suspects. No arrests had been reported as of Tuesday morning.

Police have not disclosed what led to the shooting or whether the victim and suspect knew each other. The area was briefly secured as part of the investigation.
