WASHINGTON, D.C. — A burst of gunfire outside a busy Northwest D.C. nightlife corridor early Sunday left two people injured and police hunting for a suspect caught on camera fleeing the scene.

Just before 3 a.m., a man approached a group near the 1700 block of Connecticut Avenue and opened fire without warning. The shooting sent panicked crowds scattering as two victims were struck and the assailant fled on foot.
