Police say suspect pulled a handgun before fleeing in a gray Lexus
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are searching for a gunman accused of confronting three men at a Northwest DC skate park, pointing a firearm at them and demanding money before fleeing the scene.
The attempted armed robbery occurred at approximately 8:22 p.m. Wednesday at a skate park in the 1500 block of 11th Street Northwest.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the suspect approached three adult men, displayed a handgun and demanded money.
Police said no property was taken, and none of the victims were injured.
The suspect fled before officers arrived, leaving the area in a gray Lexus sedan.
Investigators said the suspect was captured on surveillance cameras and are asking for the public’s help identifying the individual.
