BALTIMORE, Md. — A 47-year-old man walked into a Baltimore hospital with a gunshot wound Friday night, prompting an investigation that led detectives to a shooting scene in Northwest Baltimore, police said.

The man arrived at an area hospital at about 10 p.m. on June 26 seeking treatment for what police described as a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

As officers investigated, Northwest District shooting detectives determined the victim had been shot in the 2900 block of North Edgecomb Circle.

Police did not release details about what led to the shooting or whether any suspects have been identified.

The investigation remains ongoing.
