WEST NEW YORK, NJ – The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, in collaboration with the West New York Police Department, is currently investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, July 27, 2024.
According to Prosecutor Esther Suarez, the incident took place around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Hudson Avenue and 51st Street. The 40-year-old female victim reported encountering an unknown male who subsequently assaulted her, forcibly grabbing her by her hair before committing the sexual assault.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is urging anyone with information about the incident or other similar crimes to contact the Special Victims Unit at 201-915-1234.
