JACKSON, N.J. — Jackson Township officials have announced that major improvements to Bethel Church Road are scheduled to begin in July following the conclusion of the school year.
The township, citing an official press release, said the project is designed to improve roadway conditions, pedestrian safety, and accessibility for residents who use the corridor.

• Improvements include repaving, new sidewalks, and pedestrian crossings
• Township officials say the project will enhance safety and accessibility
The project will include repaving Bethel Church Road, installing new sidewalks along the southern side of the roadway, and creating dedicated pedestrian crossing areas.
Township officials said the upgrades are intended to improve safety and accessibility for residents, students, and visitors traveling through the area.

The addition of sidewalks and designated crossing areas is expected to provide safer routes for pedestrians while improving connectivity along the roadway.
Officials said the work addresses longstanding infrastructure needs and will help accommodate both motorists and pedestrians in a growing section of the township.

Council President Burnstein credited Mayor Kuhn for helping advance the project toward construction.

Construction is expected to begin after the school year ends in an effort to minimize traffic disruptions and impacts on students and families.
Additional information regarding the project’s timeline and any traffic advisories is expected to be released as work gets underway this summer.
