NJ lottery madness as players cash in over $8 million in winnings across five counties
Trenton, NJ – A 27-year-old Maryland man is in custody after a woman was ambushed in broad daylight during a carjacking in Northwest DC earlier this month, leading to a fast-moving investigation and arrest by local law enforcement.
From Monmouth County to Bergen County, lucky players scored big on scratch-offs and draw games between Monday, September 8 and Sunday, September 14, collecting over $8 million in total winnings from retailers in 10 towns. The largest prize, a $1,039,075 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot, was sold at Robin’s Convenience in Beachwood. Another player matched big with a $1 million Cash 4 Life ticket purchased at World of Wine & Liquor in Lyndhurst.
Two $500,000 prizes were also claimed from “The Shore Thing” and “Neon 9’s” scratch-offs, sold at Pinebrook Liquor in Tinton Falls and Countryfarms in Pine Hill. Multiple other tickets won between $10,000 and $100,000 across Camden, Old Bridge, Bayonne, and other areas.
Additional significant wins included a $100,000 Bingo Times 10 ticket bought at Esperanza Grocery in Camden and a $50,000 Super Crossword winner from City Line Liquors in Bayonne.
According to the New Jersey Lottery, all winnings must be claimed within one year of the draw date or game end date. Winners are urged to sign their tickets immediately and contact lottery officials.
Retailers across Monmouth, Camden, Ocean, Union, Middlesex, Hudson, and Bergen counties all saw jackpot-winning customers walk through their doors this week, signaling one of the busiest prize weeks in recent months.
