Lightning strikes twice as Virginia woman bags $101K again

Jackpot déjà vu as Virginia woman cashes in $101K for second time

Chester, VA — A Chester woman who already beat the odds once has done it again, landing a $101,021 lottery jackpot months after her first win stunned officials.

Sabrina Miller, a retired Virginia Lottery player, claimed her latest prize after winning through the Lotto Virginia online game, marking her second major payout since August.

Lottery officials confirmed Miller returned to the same game in March and secured another jackpot as the prize pool grew with continued play. The game offers odds of 1 in 5.06 to win any prize.

Miller said she did not expect to win again but continued playing the game she enjoys. She told officials she plans to save the $101,021 prize.

Lotto Virginia is one of several online games available through the Virginia Lottery platform, where jackpots increase based on player participation. Players must be at least 18 years old and located within Virginia to play.

The Virginia Lottery reported that proceeds from ticket sales support K-12 education statewide, contributing more than $901 million in the last fiscal year. Chesterfield County schools received over $43 million in funding.
