JACKSON, NJ – Hailed by Mayor Michael Reina as a large exclusive community by the Orthodox Jewish community complete with basement apartments, the Jackson Planning Board is to decide tonight whether or not it will follow the guidance of Judge Troncone and vote again on a project that it denied last year.
Jackson Parke South went before New Jersey Superior Court and Troncone issued a directive for the council to take another vote. The Planning Board has been discussing the matter in a private executive session meeting for nearly two hours and is expected to reveal their verdict shortly. The planning board claims it denied the project, which was approved two years earlier by Mayor Michael Reina when he executed his signature on an ordinance that was rejected by Councilman Barry Calogero.
Calogero and Reina were at odds over the matter in 2017. Now, time has shown that Calogero’s no vote on the matter was the prudent action to take as that ordinance may force the town to accept the project.
