Long Island lottery ticket wins top prize 

A winning ticket worth more than $26,000 was sold at a Shirley gas station in the June 28 TAKE 5 Evening drawing.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — A top-prize TAKE 5 ticket worth $26,635.50 was sold on Long Island for the June 28 Evening drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at Citgo Gas, located at 980 Montauk Highway in Shirley, Suffolk County.

TAKE 5 is drawn twice daily, with drawings held at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Players match five numbers drawn from a field of one through 39 to win the top prize.

New York Lottery draw game prizes may be claimed for up to one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery said it contributed $3.8 billion during fiscal year 2023-24 to benefit public schools across the state.
