BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. – A resident was bitten multiple times by a neighbor’s dog in a reported incident on the 700 block of South Drive, according to initial information released. The attack occurred while the dog was loose, leaving the victim injured before retreating to safety inside their home.
The victim and their own dog were able to get inside the residence following the encounter and are reported safe. The neighbor’s dog, however, remained loose in the area as of the latest update, raising concerns for nearby residents.
“Loose neighbors dog bit him repeatedly. The victim and his dog are safe in the victim’s home. Neighbors’ dog still loose,” according to an update published by Tri-County Scanner News on Facebook.
Dog remains uncontained in residential area
Brick police have not released additional details about the dog, its owner, or whether animal control has since located the animal. The extent of the victim’s injuries has also not been disclosed.
