OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Detectives from the local Police Department arrested 65-year-old Thomas E. McManus of Shrewsbury, following an investigation into a report of sexual misconduct.
On Tuesday, detectives received a report that McManus approached a woman at a business on Rt. 35, requested money and a ride, then touched her inappropriately. Surveillance video confirmed the victim’s account.
McManus, who was found and arrested, admitted to the inappropriate touching during the police interview.
He was processed and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending an initial court appearance.
