Man found dead inside parked vehicle in Manassas

MANASSAS, Va. – A 53-year-old man was found dead inside a parked vehicle Thursday afternoon in Manassas, prompting a death investigation by Prince William County Police.

Officers discovered the man unconscious inside the vehicle shortly after 4 p.m. in the 7600 block of Sudley Road.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police find man unresponsive inside vehicle

Authorities responded to the scene around 4:21 p.m. after receiving a report of an unconscious man in a parked car. Upon arrival, officers located the 53-year-old inside the vehicle and confirmed he had died before emergency services could intervene.

No foul play suspected

According to police, a preliminary investigation found no signs of foul play and no indication of a threat to public safety. The man’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Investigation remains active

Prince William County Police said additional information will be released if deemed necessary as investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the death.
