Gunfire erupted in Baltimore’s Southeast District early Saturday, leaving a 28-year-old man hospitalized
Baltimore, MD — A predawn shooting on Fairmount Avenue left a 28-year-old man wounded and prompted an investigation by Baltimore Police after officers discovered the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds early Saturday morning.
Officers responded at approximately 4:54 a.m. Saturday to the 3400 block of Fairmount Avenue following reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, officers located a 28-year-old man with apparent gunshot wounds to his lower body. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been released.
Detectives assigned to the Southeast District Shooting Unit responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
Police have not announced any arrests or identified any suspects in connection with the shooting.
