PHILADELPHIA, PA — A man in his early 30s was fatally shot in Philadelphia’s 12th District early Wednesday morning, police said.
The shooting occurred at approximately 12:04 a.m. on the 6000 block of Chester Avenue. The victim, identified as John Doe, suffered two gunshot wounds to the left shoulder and one each to the left and right groin.
Police transported the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:18 a.m.
The scene was held as investigators searched for evidence, but no motive has been determined, no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not released further details at this time.
