NEW ORLEANS, LA — The New Orleans Police Department has identified Samshud Din Jabbar, 42, as the suspect who drove a truck involved in an incident under investigation. Police say Jabbar was armed with a Glock pistol and a stolen .308 rifle from New Jersey that was equipped with either optics or a suppressor.

Authorities have also stated that four to five additional suspects are believed to have been involved in the incident, though their identities have not yet been released.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to track down the additional suspects and determine the circumstances surrounding the case.

The NOPD has not disclosed further details at this time and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
