Maryland lottery ticket turns into $106K six-figure win

7-Eleven player’s 10X bonus turns $10,622 win into six-figure payday still unclaimed

ROCKVILLE, Md. — A routine Racetrax play at a Rockville 7-Eleven turned into a six-figure lottery shock after a player’s Superfecta ticket matched the exact race order and hit a 10X bonus multiplier, boosting the prize to $106,220, according to the Maryland Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold on May 25 at the 7-Eleven located at 11530 Rockville Pike, and as of June 1, the winner has not yet come forward to claim the prize.

Lottery officials said the player correctly selected the 4-7-3-9 Superfecta, meaning the top four horses finished in exact order. The base prize for that outcome was $10,622.

Before the race, a Bonus multiplier was randomly drawn, and in this case, it landed on 10X—instantly multiplying the prize to $106,220.

The store that sold the winning ticket will also receive a $1,062.20 retailer bonus, equal to 1% of the prize.

Racetrax is a video horse-racing style game offered by the Maryland Lottery in which players select numbered horses from 1 to 12. Races are displayed every few minutes at retailers across the state, and players can add optional multipliers for larger payouts.

Across Maryland, the lottery reported $29.7 million in total prizes awarded during the May 25–31 period, including multiple scratch-off and draw game wins exceeding $10,000.

Other notable winners during the same week included $57,777 scratch-off prizes in Glen Burnie and Prince Frederick, as well as several $25,000 Pick 5 tickets across the state.

Winners of Maryland Lottery prizes over $25,000 must claim in person at the Baltimore Customer Resource Center, while smaller prizes can be redeemed through casinos or authorized retailers.

Officials remind players that draw game tickets expire 182 days after the drawing date, and scratch-off deadlines vary by game.
