The winning ticket was sold at Hob’s Carroll Motor Fuels, located at 7115 North Point Road. The man, who claimed the prize on Friday, matched the number 27 on his ticket and revealed a top prize of $1 million. He used a pocket knife to scratch the ticket — the same one he used previously on a $10,000-winning ticket.
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous under the alias “Tank,” is a utility worker from eastern Baltimore County. He said the number 27 has personal significance and chose to scratch off the ticket slowly, revealing a string of zeroes that confirmed the seven-figure prize. He plans to use the winnings toward retirement.
The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
All About Cash is a $20 Maryland Lottery game launched on July 18. It offers five top prizes of $1 million. With this claim, four $1 million prizes remain unclaimed, along with four second-tier prizes of $50,000 and thousands of smaller prizes ranging from $40 to $10,000.
