Maryland woman stumbles upon $57K jackpot on a whim

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A retiree from Baltimore County struck lottery luck earlier this month, winning the $57,777 top prize on a FAST PLAY SEVENS ticket purchased at a Hunt Valley Exxon.

The lucky winner, who occasionally plays scratch-offs and Keno, said the ticket was a random purchase. She immediately noticed a number 18 with $57,777 below it at the top of her ticket and scanned it using the Maryland Lottery app for confirmation.

The winner, who lives in Sparks, plans to use her prize money to pay off bills.

The Hunt Valley Exxon, located at 11235 York Road in Cockeysville, will receive a $577 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
