His story is as remarkable as his stature, having been rescued at just 10 days old by the Welcome Home Animal Sanctuary in Creswell, Oregon.

Misty Moore, Romeo’s owner and the co-founder of the sanctuary, emphasizes the steer’s dramatic journey from a dairy farm where male calves are often considered byproducts. Moore describes Romeo’s rescue as a fate-defying moment that paved the way for a life defined by safety, compassion, and attention.
