Mercer County player strikes it rich with $1.1 million Fast Play jackpot

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery player in Mercer County won more than $1.1 million after purchasing a progressive top prize-winning Fast Play ticket for the Diamonds and Gold game on November 11.

The lucky ticket, worth $1,118,127, was sold at Valley Fuel, located at 1050 Division St. in Farrell. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus from the Pennsylvania Lottery for selling the high-value ticket.

Diamonds and Gold is a $30 Fast Play game with progressive jackpots starting at $500,000. Unlike traditional scratch-off tickets, Fast Play games are printed on-demand and require no scratching or waiting for a drawing. Players can immediately check their tickets to see if they’ve won.

Lottery officials advise the winner to sign the back of their ticket and contact the Pennsylvania Lottery for instructions on claiming their prize. All Fast Play prizes must be claimed within one year of purchase, and prizes over $5,000 are subject to withholding.

The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages players to check every ticket, as other prizes may also be available across Fast Play games.
