Multi-agency sweep nets 27 arrests, recovers stolen vehicles across Westchester region
NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — A coordinated enforcement operation targeting violent offenders and stolen vehicles led to more than 27 arrests and the recovery of multiple stolen cars across the Westchester region earlier this month, according to the New Rochelle Police Department.
The large-scale “Drivers of Violence Enforcement” (DOVE) operation brought together more than 25 local, state, and federal agencies, with real-time coordination handled by the Westchester–Putnam Real Time Crime Center.
Regional crackdown spans three states
Authorities reported at least 231 motor vehicle stops and more than 70 summonses issued during the operation, which stretched across Westchester and Putnam counties in New York and into Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Participating agencies included the New York City Police Department, New York State Police, the FBI, and numerous local departments, reflecting a broad, cross-jurisdictional approach to crime enforcement.
The operation also recorded between six and seven pursuits or incidents involving drivers who failed to comply with police.
