Mystery Powerball Millionaire in PA: Will They Claim in Time?

MIDDLETOWN, PA – The Pennsylvania Lottery is issuing a reminder to players about an unclaimed Powerball® ticket worth $1 million. This ticket, sold in Montgomery County for the drawing on Saturday, February 4, 2023, is nearing its expiration date.

The winning ticket was purchased from East Roadrunner at 199 Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting. It successfully matched five of the white balls drawn – 2, 8, 15, 19, and 58 – earning the prize of $1 million, subject to applicable withholdings.

Ticket holders must come forward to claim their prize by Sunday, February 4, 2024. Claims can be filed either by mail or at any of the Pennsylvania Lottery Area Offices. The Lottery advises winners to sign the back of their ticket, contact the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481, and arrange for a claim at one of the seven area offices. While appointments are recommended, all PA Lottery area offices are open to the public between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. However, the PA Lottery Headquarters in Middletown remains closed to visitors.

Under Pennsylvania law, any unclaimed and expired lottery prizes are retained in the Lottery Fund, which supports programs benefiting the state’s older residents. Unlike some lotteries that offer a 90 or 180-day period for prize claims, Pennsylvania Lottery draw game prizes can be claimed up to one year from the drawing date on a business day.
