New York, NY – Authorities are actively investigating a hate crime incident after an anti-Semitic statement was discovered inside a building located at 497 West 182nd Street. The New York Police Department (NYPD) responded to reports on Monday, January 15, that at approximately 2:35 PM, an unidentified suspect had written the offensive statement on the wall of an elevator with a marker before fleeing the scene.

The suspect is described as a female with a light complexion and a slim build. She was observed wearing a checkerboard-patterned jacket, green beanie cap, blue surgical mask, long earrings, and camouflage pants at the time of the incident.
