December 27, 2025

TOWSON, MD – Baltimore County Police are investigating a fatal head-on collision that left one man dead and two others injured in Bowleys Quarters earlier this week.

According to police, the crash occurred around 9:40 a.m. on December 24 in the area of Carroll Island Road and Dunsmuir Circle. Investigators said a 2005 Buick LaSabre traveling northbound crossed the center line and collided with a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Dodge heading in the opposite direction.

The driver of the Buick, identified as 57-year-old Robert Gaydos, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver and a juvenile passenger in the Silverado sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also taken to a hospital for treatment.

Members of the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities have not released details on potential contributing factors.

Police said the investigation remains active as they review evidence and witness accounts from the scene.
