ACME Markets sells the five-number hit that conquered Saturday’s drawing

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A Philadelphia grocery store sold a Pennsylvania Lottery Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket worth $650,000 after the ticket nailed all five numbers in Saturday’s drawing, turning an ACME Markets location into the source of a six-figure jackpot hit.

The jackpot-winning ticket was sold at ACME Markets at 7700 Crittenden Street in Philadelphia, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.

Five numbers unlock $650K jackpot

The winning Cash 5 numbers for Saturday, Aug. 15, were 1, 15, 19, 20 and 26.

One ticket matched all five numbers to capture the $650,000 jackpot, before applicable withholding.

The Pennsylvania Lottery said the ticket must be presented and validated before the prize can be paid.

ACME Markets scores $5K bonus

The Philadelphia ACME Markets location will receive a $5,000 retailer bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

The retailer bonus is separate from the $650,000 prize.

Pennsylvania Lottery officials can identify a winner only after a ticket has been claimed and validated. The Lottery did not provide information about the person holding the winning ticket in its announcement.

More than 13,900 other tickets win

The jackpot ticket was not Saturday night’s only Cash 5 with Quick Cash winner.

More than 13,900 additional tickets won prizes in the drawing, according to the Lottery.

A Cash 5 main-game prize must be claimed within one year of the drawing date. Quick Cash prizes must be claimed within one year of the ticket’s purchase date.
