Pedestrian killed in Market Street hit-and-run, driver sought by police

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A woman was struck and killed early Thursday morning when a speeding car ran a red light and hit her in a crosswalk along Market Street, police said.

The crash happened around 4:17 a.m. in the 3300 block of Market Street within the city’s 18th District.
