FORKED RIVER, NJ – During the afternoon of 12/1/2021, the Ocean Township Police Department received a complaint of a deceased snake near the baseball field at Tuomey Park. Ocean Township Patrol Officers and Humane Law Enforcement Officers responded and located a deceased, headless, four foot long snake which sustained additional injuries to it
. The snake appeared to be an exotic pet and not indigenous to this area in the wild. The snake had a gray, brown and black pattern on it and is believed to be a subspecies of boa or python (possibly a red tailed boa). No owner has been identified at this time.
