Washington, D.C. – Police in D.C. have identified the man killed in a shooting that also left two others injured in Northeast D.C. over the weekend.
On October 5, shortly after 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Trinidad Avenue and Queen Street in response to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered three individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds at the end of the 1600 block of Trinidad Avenue.
The victim, identified as 33-year-old Najee Dickens of Northeast, was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
The other two victims, a man and a woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover.
