BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD – Baltimore County homicide detectives have recently arrested Tavon D. Smith, 34.
The arrest comes in connection with the November 2023 homicide of 81-year-old Jaward Hannah.
Smith faces charges of first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence, and possession of a firearm with a felony conviction.
He is currently held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
The arrest marks a significant development in the case.
