Boston police seize 251 grams of drugs in Hyde Park bust following joint investigation
Boston, MA – A multi-district drug investigation led to a major narcotics bust in Hyde Park after officers recovered more than 250 grams of illegal drugs and arrested a Roslindale man Wednesday during the execution of several search warrants.
On November 26, officers from the Drug Control Units of District C-6 (South Boston), E-13 (Jamaica Plain), and E-18 (Hyde Park) carried out a coordinated operation at 18 Adams Street in Hyde Park. Investigators had been tracking a suspect linked to drug trafficking activity in the area.
Shortly before the search, officers observed the suspect leaving the residence in a vehicle. District E-18 officers conducted a motor vehicle stop, took the suspect into custody, and informed him of multiple active search warrants related to the investigation.
Following standard procedure, officers knocked, announced their presence, and entered the apartment. Inside, they recovered 118 grams of cocaine, 102 grams of crack cocaine, and 31 grams of fentanyl. Officers also seized a digital scale, drug processing materials, $1,095 in cash, and a dirt bike, which was turned over to the Auto Theft Task Force for further investigation.
The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Jefrey Candelario of Roslindale, was arrested on multiple drug trafficking charges. He is expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on the following offenses:
- Trafficking of Class A
- Trafficking of Class B
- Reckless Endangerment of a Child
Police did not disclose additional details related to the child endangerment charge.
The Auto Theft Task Force is pursuing separate complaints related to the dirt bike.
