TOMS RIVER, NJ – Democrats in Toms River are presenting a seemingly diverse and tolerant slate to run for office in the upcoming mayoral and council elections in November. The ticket is being led by ultra-progressive Democrat Ben Giovine for Mayor.
Giovine works as a high-level staffer for squad-affiliated Democrat Congressman Andy Kim.
His runningmates, Rhetta Jackson-Fair, Ruby Franco, and Michelle Williams offer the kind of diversity that is synonymous with the modern-day Democrat party. Fair is an African-American woman. Franco is of Indian descent. They are essentially a 2023 Democrat dream team.
But like most modern-day ultra-progressive Democrats, they’re keeping secrets.
Social media comments made by Franco and Jackson-Fair resemble the Democrats of the mid-twentieth century and the 1800s, who fought against civil rights, desegregation, and tolerance in the Deep South.
Jackson-Fair, a pastor, is openly anti-homosexual and has been in hot water over her anti-gay comments on social media. Democrat leaders tried to convince her to leave the ticket, but according to insiders, Fair resisted and denied being benched.
“Stop lying to them that it’s ok being gay and God made them that way but they can choose eternal life and not temporary pleasures,” Jackson-Fair said. “Share with them how these things infected you. Teach them how to have fun without offending God. Don’t condone what God condemns.:”
Franco, who was recently chosen to replace Kajal Lal on the ticket after Lal accepted employment within the Biden administration has her own past to deal with. Today, a racist post on social media by Franco circulated in political circles. In that post, she uses the N-word.
Giovine said, “I’ve seen the posts and while I disagree with the content of them, my opponent has posted and mailed much worse. These are merely distractions to cover up his inability to govern.”
Giovine was referring to the campaign mailers sent out by his opponent Dan Rodrick in past elections against overdevelopment. Giovine and Kim blasted Rodrick saying he was anti-semitic, calling Rodrick’s mailers against overdevelopment an attack on the growing Orthodox Jewish community.
Rodrick’s mailers never mentioned the words “Orthodox” or “Jewish”, simply “Lakewood Style Overdevelopment.”
Congressman Kim denounced Rodrick for his stance against overdevelopment.
