SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. — Rainy weather is once again threatening weekend business at New Jersey’s popular boardwalks, with thunderstorms and scattered showers forecast through Sunday, potentially impacting restaurants, arcades, and other coastal attractions already hit by poor weather last weekend.

Forecasters are calling for an 80% chance of rain today, with thunderstorms likely before 3 p.m. and continued showers into the evening. Highs are expected near 78 degrees with patchy morning fog and light winds, but wet conditions may keep crowds away from normally bustling boardwalk areas.

Tonight, the chance of rain drops to 30%, with mostly cloudy skies and lows around 60. On Sunday, forecasters expect more unsettled weather, with a 30% chance of showers after 2 p.m. and continued cloud cover keeping daytime highs near 73. Sunday night brings a 40% chance of rain and possible thunderstorms after 11 p.m.
