Robbery suspects targeting women and upper manhattan and the bronx

NEW YORK, NY – Detectors with the New York City Police Department are asking the public for assistance identifying two suspects wanted for multiple robberies of women in the Bronx and Upper Manhattan. Detectives with the 34th and 52nd precincts say the suspects have developed a known robbery pattern, committing assaults in late January.

The first incident happened on Friday, January 20, at approximately 5 pm in the area of Creston Avenue and East Fordham Road in the Bronx.

An unidentified male individual approached a 44-year-old woman, struck her once in the face with a closed fist and removed two Cuban necklaces from around her neck.

The suspect fled the scene.

The necklaces are worth approximately $4,400.

A second incident was reported on Tuesday, January 31, shortly before 4 pm.

In this incident, the victim, a 31-year-old female, was in front of 295 Wadsworth Avenue when two unidentified male individuals approached the victim and forcibly grabbed her gold necklace from around her neck.

At this time please have not made any arrests, but photos of the robbery suspects have been released.
