Roxbury Man Arrested After Boston Police Recover Loaded Glock During Grove Hall Patrol

BOSTON — A Roxbury man faces multiple firearm charges after Boston police officers recovered a loaded Glock handgun during a late-night patrol in the Grove Hall neighborhood Monday, according to the Boston Police Department.

Members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested 23-year-old Sani Suleiman around 9:30 p.m. near 26 Crawford Street after officers said his behavior drew attention while they conducted directed patrols in the area.

Police said officers noticed Suleiman appeared “heavily overdressed” and was walking at an unusually fast pace before allegedly trying to avoid eye contact and moving away from officers when he saw them approaching.

Officers stopped Suleiman near Crawford Street and, during the encounter, suspected he was carrying a firearm, according to the department.

Officers Recover Loaded Glock 19X

During a frisk, officers recovered a tan Glock 19X 9mm handgun secured in a holster attached to the front waistband area of the suspect’s clothing, police said.
