WANAQUE, N.J. – A late-night crash involving multiple vehicles shut down a main road near a local elementary school, forcing a 90-minute delay for students on Monday morning.

Police said up to four cars collided on Ringwood Avenue, just north of Haskell Elementary School, shortly after 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

A section of the busy roadway was closed for several hours as crews cleared debris from the scene.
