Three slashed in bloody 4 a.m. street fight outside Queens storefront
Queens, NY – A pre-dawn street dispute turned violent in Corona on Thursday when two men slashed three people outside a storefront on Roosevelt Avenue before fleeing on foot, leaving behind a bloodied sidewalk and terrified witnesses.
The violent encounter erupted just after 4 a.m. in front of 103-19 Roosevelt Avenue, where a 19-year-old woman, a 34-year-old man, and a 23-year-old man were standing when they were confronted by two unidentified men. Police say a verbal dispute quickly escalated, ending with both suspects pulling sharp objects and slashing the victims during the chaotic altercation.
After the attack, both suspects ran northbound on 104th Street and remain at large. The NYPD has launched a manhunt and is reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses.
Emergency responders rushed all three victims to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst. The 19-year-old woman suffered a stab wound to her back, the 34-year-old man was cut on his hands and back, and the 23-year-old man sustained a deep slash to his face. All were reported in stable condition.
Police released descriptions of the suspects late Thursday morning. Both men are described as having light complexions and heavy builds. One was wearing a red Nike hoodie with black jeans and sneakers, while the other wore a white baseball cap, black hoodie, black jeans, and white sneakers.
