A Powerball ticket sold at Staten Island University Hospital turned a standard third-prize win into a $100,000 payday after the Power Play option doubled the prize.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A lucky Powerball player is holding a $100,000 winning ticket after purchasing it at Staten Island University Hospital for the Monday, July 13 drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at Staten Island University Hospital, located at 475 Seaview Avenue.

The ticket won a third-tier Powerball prize that was increased to $100,000 by adding the Power Play option. Power Play gives players the opportunity to multiply eligible non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times, depending on the multiplier drawn.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Players select five numbers from 1 through 69 and one Powerball number from 1 through 26.

The New York Lottery did not release additional information about the winning ticket.
