SALISBURY, MD – Authorities reported the arrest of an individual in possession of a firearm on the premises of Mardela Middle/High School. Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident, with the school’s Resource Deputies taking the suspect into custody.

The Sheriff’s Office took to social media to inform the public of the situation, stating that the apprehension unfolded without further incident. Officials have not released the identity of the suspect or the circumstances leading to the discovery of the weapon.
