**Guttenberg, NJ** – An East Orange man has been charged with murder following a death investigation involving two males in Guttenberg. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the arrest carried out by the Homicide Unit.

On Saturday, November 23, a report was made to the Guttenberg Police Department shortly after 10 p.m. concerning two unresponsive males at a residence on 71st Street. The deceased individuals were identified as Justo Bory, 87, and Ricardo Bory, 58, both residents of Guttenberg. Upon arrival, officers detained Lamont Cole, 40, of East Orange, for allegedly interfering with the investigation.

Following autopsies, the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office released findings on Monday, December 2, indicating that Justo Bory’s cause of death was neck compression, classified as a homicide. Consequently, Cole was formally charged with murder on Tuesday, December 3, at the Hudson County Correctional Facility. The investigation into Ricardo Bory’s cause of death remains ongoing.

The incident occurred on Tuesday at 4:19 p.m. when Transportation Security Administration officials identified a handgun inside a traveler’s backpack. This prompted them to notify the Allegheny County Police.

Authorities identified the individual as 47-year-old Steven Lapp and found that he lacked a valid concealed carry permit. Consequently, Lapp is now facing a felony charge for carrying a firearm without a license. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has also been notified about the case.

The Transportation Security Administration states that individuals caught carrying firearms at airport checkpoints could incur civil fines of up to $10,000. Repeat offenders might face fines up to $13,910.

**Glen Burnie, MD -** Officers responded to a robbery on Monday around 4:00 p.m. in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway. Four armed suspects approached a victim, demanded his property, and fled in a gray 2007 Pontiac G6.

Police located the vehicle on Ordnance Road. After a search, officers found a stolen 9mm Canik Model 2 semi-automatic handgun, a 9mm Ruger LC9 semi-automatic handgun, two 9mm Polymer 80 semi-automatic handguns, and approximately 84 grams of suspected marijuana.

The suspects were taken into custody. They were identified as 18-year-old Izaiah Allen Conway of Middle River, 18-year-old Devin Austin Smith of Essex, and two other males aged 17 and 15.

Charges have been filed against all four individuals. The investigation is ongoing, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

Shooting Incident on N. 4th St. Results in Arrest

**Columbus, OH** – Officers were dispatched Saturday night to the 1200 block of N. 4th St. for a reported shooting. Upon arrival at 8:29 p.m., officers discovered 20-year-old Anthony Wise with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased.

The following day, police arrested 20-year-old Daveon Murphy in connection with the incident. Murphy was charged with murder in relation to Wise’s death.

**Utica, NY** – On Sunday, Utica Police responded to a report of larceny at Lowe’s in North Utica. The police were informed by store personnel that a suspect exited the store with a shopping cart containing over $1,000 worth of unpaid merchandise.

Authorities received a description of the suspect and the direction in which he fled. Officers subsequently located the individual walking on Buchanan Rd. Following a citizen stop and positive identification, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Utica Police Department.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Brandon Rivera with no known address, faces charges of grand larceny in the fourth degree. The investigation is ongoing to identify any additional parties involved.
