Court documents indicate that Morgan was a patient in Garnet Medical Center’s behavioral health unit when he allegedly assaulted his psychiatrist, taking her identification badge. **Wilmington, DE** – Delaware State Police Detectives have apprehended Vincent Vari, a 48-year-old Wilmington resident, in connection with an attempted robbery at a Dollar General store in the Wilmington area.

On December 24 at approximately 9:22 p.m., troopers responded to reports of an attempted robbery at Dollar General located at 1402 East Newport Pike, Wilmington. During the incident, a suspect, identified as a white male, entered the store wielding a taser. He approached a store employee, activated the taser, and demanded cash. The employee managed to repel the suspect with a baseball bat, who subsequently fled towards East Highland Avenue. No injuries were reported.

Through investigative efforts, detectives from Troop 2 identified Vari as the suspect leading to a warrant for his arrest. On Friday, Vari was found by detectives and taken into custody without incident.

Vari was transported to Troop 2 and charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Wearing a Disguise during the Commission of a Felony, both felonies. He was arraigned and subsequently committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution, with bail set at $24,000 cash.

Detectives identified Wescott as the suspect and apprehended him in Millsboro on February 28 without incident. During the arrest, they found .060 grams of heroin on his person.

According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday, January 11, 2024, at approximately 1:57 p.m. when an unidentified individual entered the Chase Bank at 24-16 Queens Plaza South. The suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding cash.

The individual fled the scene on foot with approximately $2,000, heading westbound on Queens Plaza South. No injuries were reported during the incident.

Surveillance images of the suspect have been released and are available through the NYPD’s Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information (DCPI).

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to come forward.
