Suspect in Boston Murder Case Arrested

**Boston, MA** – On Friday at around 4:45 PM, members of the Fugitive Unit apprehended Rasheedah Hughes, 40, of Boston near Hammond Street. She was arrested on an outstanding warrant related to the murder of Celia Simmons, 65, of Boston. Hughes is scheduled to be arraigned at Roxbury District Court on Monday, December 23.

The initial incident occurred on Saturday, November 16, at 12:48 PM, when officers from District D-4 (South End/Back Bay) were dispatched to a stabbing at Ramsey Park, 1917 Washington St. Upon their arrival, they found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. Boston EMS transported the victim to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The victim was identified as Celia Simmons.

New City Residents Sentenced for Murder of Grandfather

**New City, NY** – Constantinos Doonan and Jo-Ann Haughey of New City, NY, were sentenced for the death of Constantinos Mastakouris, as announced by the Rockland County District Attorney. Doonan faces a second-degree murder charge while Haughey was charged with first-degree manslaughter.

The incident occurred between January 29 and January 30, 2023, where both individuals were involved in the fatal strangulation of Mastakouris at his home on Ruth Drive. His body was concealed in the basement and his belongings, including a car and jewelry, were stolen.

District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II stated that the crime was an unimaginable act that devastated the family. He praised the work of the Clarkstown Police Department in investigating the case.

Doonan received a sentence of 20 years to life, while Haughey was sentenced to 15 years in prison. The case was prosecuted by Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Dominic Crispino and Supervising Assistant District Attorney Sharleen Bailon.

Man Arrested in Guttenberg Death Investigation

**Guttenberg, NJ** – An East Orange man has been charged with murder following a death investigation involving two males in Guttenberg. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the arrest carried out by the Homicide Unit.

On Saturday, November 23, a report was made to the Guttenberg Police Department shortly after 10 p.m. concerning two unresponsive males at a residence on 71st Street. The deceased individuals were identified as Justo Bory, 87, and Ricardo Bory, 58, both residents of Guttenberg. Upon arrival, officers detained Lamont Cole, 40, of East Orange, for allegedly interfering with the investigation.

Following autopsies, the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office released findings on Monday, December 2, indicating that Justo Bory’s cause of death was neck compression, classified as a homicide. Consequently, Cole was formally charged with murder on Tuesday, December 3, at the Hudson County Correctional Facility. The investigation into Ricardo Bory’s cause of death remains ongoing.
