Hanover township man receives prison sentence for online child interaction
MORRISTOWN, N.J. — Hanover Township resident Brian J. Cariddi, 40, has been sentenced in connection with engaging in inappropriate online communications with a child from North Carolina. Cariddi pled guilty to a charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a second-degree offense.
Judge Claudia Jones, on Tuesday, sentenced Cariddi to three years in New Jersey State Prison, with a condition that he serves 18 months without parole eligibility. Cariddi will face Parole Supervision for Life upon his release and is required to comply with Megan’s Law. As part of his sentencing, he is prohibited from having any contact with the victim.
The case involved Cariddi conducting explicit online conversations with a 9-year-old child between December 11, 2022, and January 10, 2023. During these interactions, Cariddi exposed himself and solicited explicit images from the victim. These actions led to his arrest on March 8, 2024, resulting from an investigation by local authorities.

**Port Jervis, NY** – On Wednesday, Enido Rumaldo, 21, of Port Jervis was sentenced to six years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision after pleading guilty to the criminal sale of a controlled substance in the second degree. Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced the sentencing.
The case against Rumaldo arose from a long-term investigation into narcotics possession and sale in the Port Jervis area. During the investigation, Rumaldo sold narcotics to undercover officers in Port Jervis on four occasions in the fall of last year. On October 16, he sold 63 grams of cocaine to an undercover officer. After the sale, a search of his vehicle revealed additional narcotics, scales, and packaging materials.
District Attorney Hoovler expressed gratitude to several law enforcement agencies, including the Port Jervis Police Department, Orange County Drug Task Force, and Middletown Police Department for their roles in the investigation. Other participating agencies included the Town of Wallkill Police Department, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, the Pike County District Attorney’s Office, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and the Hudson Valley Crime Analyst Center.
Senior Assistant District Attorney Alexis Gregory is prosecuting the case.

Unlicensed Dental Assistant Sentenced to Prison
**HARRISBURG, PA** – Attorney General Dave Sunday announced that Rose Calese Horne, an unlicensed dental assistant, was sentenced to 18 to 36 months in prison for falsifying her qualifications, allowing her to perform advanced procedures on patients.
Horne, aged 44, from Levittown, pleaded guilty to charges of felony prohibited use of a radiation source and misdemeanor impersonation of a professional license holder. A Bucks County Judge recently sentenced her for these offenses.
Horne deceived employers by claiming she was licensed to perform tasks such as installing crowns and bridges, filing fillings, administering local anesthesia, and assisting in root canal surgeries. Attorney General Sunday stated that this deceptive behavior endangered patients and breached trust placed in professional certifications.
The investigation revealed that Horne worked with three different dentists in Bucks County from October 2022 to October 2023 under false pretenses. She conducted X-rays on five patients without the necessary training or licensure, as confirmed by the Office of Attorney General. Senior Deputy Attorney General Thomas Ost-Prisco prosecuted the case.
