Stafford Man Arrested Following Eviction-Related Pursuit
**Stafford, VA** – A Stafford man was apprehended Sunday afternoon, two days after evading police during an eviction at a North Stafford apartment.
Deputies initially served an eviction order at an apartment in Garrison Woods on Friday afternoon. A man, later identified as Keenan Duncan, 29, provided a false name and birth date while leaving the apartment in a black face covering. As officers tried to verify his identity, Duncan fled the scene.
The foot chase led deputies behind the apartment complex towards Sky Terrace, where the suspect disappeared through a fence. Attempts to locate Duncan on Friday were unsuccessful, and deputies pursued leads throughout the weekend without success.
On Sunday afternoon, a Perry Farms resident reported a break-in. First Sergeant J.J. Kreider and Deputy A.M. Pitts discovered Duncan hiding in a basement bathroom and arrested him without incident. Duncan now faces charges of obstruction of justice, false identity, public mask-wearing, identity fraud, breaking and entering, vandalism, petit larceny, and possession of controlled substances. Field sobriety tests led to Morales’s detention. A search revealed numerous empty or nearly empty liquor bottles in her vehicle, and records showed a prior DUI charge in October.
