WASHINGTON, D.C. — An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an unarmed carjacking that occurred Monday night in Northwest D.C., where suspects assaulted a victim and fled on a stolen moped, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The incident took place around 9:05 p.m. on March 24 in the 1100 block of T Street, Northwest. Officers responded to a report of a carjacking after the suspects attacked the victim and took off on the victim’s moped. The victim declined medical treatment at the scene.
As part of the ongoing investigation, detectives quickly identified and arrested Zion Prince of Northeast, D.C. He was charged with Unarmed Carjacking.
The case remains under active investigation, and police are encouraging anyone with additional information to contact them by calling (202) 727-9099 or texting 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in violent crimes in the District.
