Ocean County shelter seeks home for bonded cats ahead of snowstorm

JACKSON, NJ – The Ocean County Animal Shelter is spotlighting two cats looking for a forever home as winter weather approaches.

Shane, 3, and Ilya, 2, recently arrived from the Atlantic County Animal Shelter and are described as a bonded pair who must be adopted together. Shelter staff say the duo may appear identical, but their personalities set them apart — Shane is a bit more reserved, while Ilya is outgoing and affectionate.

The shelter noted that the pair have only ever lived with each other, so it’s unclear how they might respond to other pets.

  • Bonded pair of cats up for adoption in the Ocean County area.
  • Shane and Ilya came from Atlantic County Animal Shelter
  • Shelter open 12–5 p.m. and monitoring weather conditions

Animal lovers can visit the shelter from 12 to 5 p.m. or browse available cats online at bit.ly/3ea53vi. Staff said the team will monitor the snowstorm forecast and adjust hours if necessary.
