NEWBURGH, NY – The New York Lottery announced today that two third-prize-winning tickets for the Aug 26 Powerball drawing were sold in East Meadow and Newburgh. Each ticket is worth $50,000.
The East Meadow ticket was sold at Walmart #2916, located at 2465 Hempstead Tnpke. The Newburgh ticket was sold at Smokes 4 Less, located at 59 North Plank Rd.
In Powerball, winning numbers are drawn from a field of one to 69, while the red Power Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26. The drawings are televised every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
Winners have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
