UTICA, NY — A 35-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing that occurred during an argument earlier this week, police said.
Utica Police and Fire units responded to the 1100 block of Lenox Avenue on July 20, where a female victim reported being stabbed in the head following a dispute with another woman on the 1200 block of Gray Avenue. The victim fled the scene and was transported to Wynn Hospital by the Utica Fire Department. Her injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Following an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division, police identified Athya Sullivan of Utica as the suspect.
Sullivan was located and arrested on July 23. Charges have not yet been publicly detailed.
Police said the victim “was stabbed in head and fled the location” before receiving medical treatment.
